All census data issued by the ABS in their 1st Data Release is currently available to clients of Pitney Bowes Software. One further update to software products, such as AnySite Australia, will occur in 2012 after the 2nd Data Release by the ABS, with another update in early 2013.

ABS Data Release Schedule

The ABS will release the data in three phases:

• 1st Release: 21 June 2012
  Core demographics such as population, age, income, ethnicity, etc.
• 2nd Release: 30 October 2012
  Data requiring detailed processing such as occupation, industry of employment, education, etc.
• 3rd Release: 28 March 2013
  Supplementary and specialised data including SEIFA variables and Mesh Block household/population counts

What data will be released and when?

The ABS have compiled a list of variables available from the 2011 Census and the corresponding release number for each at their Census Dictionary, 2011 page. Since this information is quite detailed, there are several sources of documentation available:
